Australian response to landmines There is a section on AusAID's website devoted to landmines ( http://www.ausaid.gov.au/landmines/) where you can find a summary of facts and figures, and Australia's key role in clearing landmines. This includes examples of Australian aid projects, which are clearing landmines in Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, Angolia and Mozambique. There is also an informative slide show providing facts with appropriate images. Mine Action NOW ( http://www.austcare.org.au/content/mine_action.htm) is an Australian Government initiative to clear minefields in Cambodia. Destroy A Minefield seeks sponsors in the Australian community to clear specifically named minefields.
