People, profit, enterprise and entrepreneurship
Overview
This case study outlines how a growing and thriving private sector can make a difference in building an enterprising culture which will help alleviate poverty and achieve economic growth in developing economies. Australian aid can assist enterprise and entrepreneurship by supporting small to medium-sized businesses and microenterprises tackle some of the constraints or barriers to their growth and development. Such assistance may include access to credit and savings facilities and technical assistance from field officers who can help develop record keeping and business planning skills.
