Preparation
Procedure The activities for the project are designed so that students may complete a selection of questions from one through ten. These questions aim to identify the strategies of the CGP and explore how they meet the aims of the project and ultimately improve the health and development of women, newborns and children in the Philippines. Other issues examined include analysing the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and how they promote sustainable development. Finally students will debate the roles of government and non-government organisations (NGOs) in relation to sustainable development. Alternatively, question eleven requires students to work as a class to cover the same issues and report back with their groups analysis of each strategy. In this method of learning teachers can allocate questions a-e to specific students, to make each student responsible for providing a response. In both approaches the teachers role is mainly as a facilitator however it may be necessary to introduce concepts such as the milk code, sustainable development and primary health care. Resources
