COBIS is a Membership Association of British Schools of quality in Europe, with suitable schools from elsewhere in the world as Affiliate Members. COBIS was founded in 1981 as the Council of British Independent Schools and is a Charitable Association registered in The Hague. There are currently 35 Members and 28 Affiliate Members in 36 countries representing over 30,000 students. The Association is managed by an elected Executive Committee, which includes both Heads and Board Members. The Secretariat in the UK provides services to Members and Affiliate Members and is a reliable source of information for parents looking for schools abroad.

The Endeavour Language Teacher Fellowships (ELTF) are an Australian Government initiative for language teachers currently working in Australian schools to improve their language proficiency and cultural knowledge through an intensive, short-term, in-country study programme. The Asia Education Foundation administers the ELTF programme on behalf of the Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
