  2. How does Salla Lavalla help children with physical disabilities?
  3. What do the students do when they finish studying at Salla Lavalla?
  4. How does having teachers with disabilities assist students?
  5. Why might the Cambodian government be unable to provide education for these children?

Create a cause and effect web which shows why young people like Min and Chet will have difficulty getting a job without an education?

Develop a role-play in which a physically disabled student is having an interview with the head of the school about coming to Salla Lavalla. Through the role-play demonstrate what the needs of the student are and how Salla Lavalla can assist the student.

Design and plan a playground for the students at Salla Lavalla. Label the features of the playground which specifically meet the needs of students who require wheelchairs to move around.

Working in small groups, imagine you are members of a team from the Cambodian Ministry of Education visiting Salla Lavalla, who are considering setting up similar schools in other parts of Cambodia. What measures of success will you be looking for in the school?

Assessment task

Design a poster for raising community awareness in Cambodia to change people's negative attitudes to physically disabled people, so that they will be valued and included in Cambodian society.
