Global EdNet

Global EdNet is the global education website email discussion group. It is open to all teachers and others interested in the teaching of global education in Australian schools for the sharing of news, events and discussion of global education issues, resources and ideas.

Luke Watson
Global EdNet Discussion Leader Monday 28 July - Friday 8 August

Luke went to Nepal as a National Cricket Coaching Development Officer in October 2003 - October 2004. This was a time of great change for Nepal as it struggled with the Maoist insurgency and role of the monarchy.
In the lead up to the Olympics he will reflect on sport and development in a conflict zone:
Can sport help build a national identity?
Where is sport on the list of development priorities?
What contribution can sport make to development?
