Australian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC)

The extensive Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission website has a range of materials to improve the respect, protection and promotion of human rights in Australia. It includes sections on human rights for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and on sex, race and disability discrimination. There are specific sections for teachers and students, including interactives.


Australian People for Health, Education and Development Abroad (APHEDA)

APHEDA is the humanitarian overseas aid arm of the Australian Council of Trade Unions. The organisation aims to build self-reliance by supporting to educational and training projects for workers and their organisations. Information about global education programs and overseas projects in Cambodia, Cuba, East Timor, India and other countries is provided on the site.
