Role-play a situation of someone helping others (family, community people,
health care, government) for others to identify what you are doing..
Role-play the following situations showing what you would do, what you say
and how you help someone who:
- is feeling sick
- has no lunch
- has fallen over
- is feeling threatened by someone
- has been lost
- has not been collected from school
- has been hit by a car
- has been in a danger
- has to work in a dangerous situation
- has nowhere to go to escape danger.
Collect advertisements and signs that help people learn about living
a healthy and safe life, (eg immunisation, food, road safety, safety houses)
Discuss:
- Who helps you to be safe and healthy?
- Why do they help you?
- What responsibilities do you have to help yourself?
Read stories about children in other places.
