There is an online student worksheet. UNESCO Water Portal URL:  http://www.unesco.org/water/ The UNESCO Water Portal?s objective is to improve access to information on freshwater on the web. The site serves as a thematic entry point to the current UNESCO and UNESCO-led programmes on freshwater. It also provides a platform for sharing and browsing websites of other water-related organizations, government bodies and NGOs through the water links and events databases. You can get involved by providing information on activities, useful links, news and content. United Nations Water Quiz URL:  http://www.un.org/Pubs/CyberSchoolBus/waterquiz/waterquiz4/index.asp The UN Cyberschoolbus water quiz has nine multiple choice questions which provide immediate feedback and supportive facts. WaterAid Australia URL:  http://www.wateraid.org/australia/ WaterAid is an NGO which enables the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. Its Learn Zone provides a wealth of materials: information sheets, videos and online awareness raising games. The game 'Pani the handpump' allows players to help people in Nepal, Ghana and Ethiopia to build a clean water supply; 'Who want to raise a million' is a quiz on water and sanitation and 'Water family' looks at how much water a family uses and how you can help them to cut down. Water posters AusAID have produced this set of four posters showing how water affects our daily lives. The posters look at water and the environment, water and agriculture, water and work, and water and health. The images include a short description of how access to clean water is essential in relation to each of these themes. The images are from Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Vietnam. The posters are a simple, colourful and informative resource for the classroom.
