Harmony Day 2005

St Columban's Primary School, Mayfield

St Columban's Primary School, Mayfield, is a systemic Catholic primary school in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese about 160kms from Sydney. The school was founded by the Dominican sisters in 1917 and has a significant multicultural population as well as Indigenous students.

St Columban's celebrated Harmony Day, on 21 March 2005 by making a large poster featuring children from many backgrounds set in a map of Australia with the school crest in the centre.

Thanks to teacher Jennifer Crichton for supplying photographs.
